I really think that koshigami is a very Japanese idea. Originally, minato paper was pasted around the bottom of the wall in a narrow space of a Japanese-style room such as a tea room to prevent the kimono from hitting the wall and staining it, or to prevent the wall from peeling off due to rubbing against the obi. Back when earthen walls were the mainstream of ordinary people's lives, if a broom or vacuum cleaner was used to clean the earthen walls, the earthen walls would gradually wear away. It seems that there was a time when it was normal to put waste paper Japanese paper that was no longer needed. Many of those lining papers are written in calligraphy as if to say "Recycle!" (The photo is from a room in the Fukagawa Edo Museum)
A long time ago, I saw an impact paper
School days, Come to think of it to me.
I usedt to live in and old apartment in Osaka downtown.
The walls are mud walls, and the toilets are shared. Coin-operated telephone!
When the bell rang, I said, "Hello this is XX apartment. Mr.Riku is here, please wait a moment,"
Early in the morning when the Great Hanshin Earthquake struck, which I will never forget, the mud wall in my room had partially peeled off, and more and more cracks appeared, and the jar I had cherished was broken. I spent the restless morning watching the news of the earthquake on TV, but the familiar sound of the violin from the next room brought me back to my senses. I'm playing this morning too,,,. a little surprised After I knocked, I looked into Lee's room for the first time.
This room also seemed to have had cracks here and there for quite some time, and the earthquake this morning had spilled new soil onto the tatami mats. Sheet music was pasted parallel to the floor on the mud wall of Ms. Lee's room to hide the long-standing cracks. Holding her violin in the middle of the room, Lee was standing in a standing position, and she was playing while circling in the narrow room as the score progressed.
Did you know there was a big earthquake just now? when I hear
She opened her eyes wide for a moment, saying, "Yes~", but immediately shifted her attention to the center sheet of paper and continued playing the violin. When I listened to it, I realized that it was a sheet of violin sheet music that killed two birds with one stone: a device to avoid having to play the violin while flipping pages, and a first-aid treatment for the fragile mud wall.
It was newness!
